CODE OF CONDUCT
Lodge Fest is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees, volunteers, performers, vendors, and staff.
This Code of Conduct applies to all Lodge events, including the festival and all related gatherings.
Our Commitment to Inclusivity, Consent & Safe Spaces
Lodge Fest is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or background.
We are committed to:
- Respect & Inclusivity – Treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Consent – Always ask for and receive explicit consent before engaging in physical, verbal, or social interactions. No means no. Silence is not yes.
- Safe Spaces – We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or violence of any kind. Everyone has the right to feel safe and enjoy the festival.
Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviours will not be tolerated at Paradise events:
Harassment & Discrimination
This includes:
- Hate speech, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or ableist remarks.
- Unwanted comments about someone’s appearance, identity, or background.
Sexual Harassment & Assault
- Consent is mandatory – ALWAYS. Any form of unwanted touching, sexual advances, catcalling, or predatory behaviour is strictly prohibited.
Physical or Verbal Aggression
- Violence, threats, or intimidation of any kind.
Intoxicated & Disorderly Conduct
- If your behaviour endangers yourself or others, you may be removed from the event.
- Disruptive behavior includes being obnoxiously loud during quiet hours (10pm-6am).
Breach of Festival Rules
- Bringing prohibited items (illegal substances, weapons).
- Failure to follow festival security instructions.
Reporting & Support
Lodge Fest is committed to transparency, accountability, and action.
How to Report a Concern
If you experience or witness misconduct, please locate Lodge Staff, Event Staff, or an Event Volunteer to report a concern either in person or with a written note.
Reports of harassment, sexual misconduct, or assault cannot be submitted via email. For all other Code of Conduct concerns or general feedback, please email palousedividecoop@gmail.com.
Incident Response & Accountability
Lodge Fest is committed to responding to all reported incidents with care, discretion, and a focus on safety and accountability.
All reports are reviewed by designated members of our leadership team, who will assess the situation based on the information provided. If a report does not indicate a violation of the Code of Conduct, no formal action may be taken, though we may still explore alternative ways to support the people involved.
If an assessment confirms that a violation of the Code of Conduct has occurred, appropriate actions will be taken to address the situation. These may include, but are not limited to:
- A verbal or written warning
- Changes to working arrangements
- Mediation between involved parties
- Additional training or education for the individual or the wider team
- Increased supervision or monitoring
- Suspension or dismissal from volunteer duties
- Revision of contracts or policies as needed
- Removal of the individual from the event, with immediate denial of re-entry
- A temporary or lifetime ban from future events
Our goal is always to prioritize the safety and well-being of our community while upholding accountability in a fair and transparent way.
